After our Christmas holidays I had decided I wanted to loose 4 kgs. So I told my husband I would eat primal with him. I had not read anything about it, but just used the rule: no grains, no sugar, clean foods.
The first week was hard. I missed my sweet foods but immediately saw a difference. 2kgs gone after the first week. The second week was brilliant, full of energy and feeling great. I became motivated and tried hard to fit in 3-4 40 min walks down the river. After 20 days of eating this way, surpassing my 4 kg goal and feeling great I picked up Mark Sisson's 21 day Primal Challenge and gave it a read. And it all made sense. I haven't looked back. I lost a total of 8 kg and lost 2 dress sizes. I am fitter, happier, healthier and have enough energy to keep up with my 3 kids. I have also avoided any nasty cold or virus so far this winter. I now do short runs and boxing, I am getting stronger and fitter. I am happy with my new lifestyle and new healthy body.
